Rain Storm Helps Munising Majors Beat Tri-County
![]() GLADSTONE---The Battle of Alger County on the Little League Baseball diamond was halted by a powerful rain storm on Sunday, and the Munising Major Boys (age 11-12) got full benefit from the situation. ![]()

The Escanaba-Gladstone game was postponed until Monday night. Munising scored both of its runs in the second inning. Dayne Murck singled, then Austin Killips and Mason Smith drew walks. With one out, Josh Houtari got a base hit, and the Orange and Black All-Stars had the lead. Munising pitcher Skyler Anderson pitched a two-hitter over four innings, striking out ten of the 12 outs that he recorded. Tri-County's only hits were by Gabe Dillow in the third inning and Blake Krouth in the fourth inning. The only other runner was a walk. Munising had just four hits off of Tri-County pitcher Dylan Trudell. Tri-County falls into the loser's bracket and will face the loser of Monday's Escanaba vs Gladstone game at 5:00 on Tuesday in Gladstone. Munising will take on the winner of Monday's game at 7:00 Tuesday in Gladstone. All of the games will be broadcast live on WCHT-AM (600), and over the Internet at www.rrnsports.com.
