Junior Boys LL State Champs To Be Honored Friday
![]() ESCANABA---The The Delta County Junior Boys Little League All-Star team that won the state championship this summer will be honored at Escanaba-Kingsford varsity football game this Friday night. Also, it will be Parents Night before the game. Escanaba High School Athletic Director Dave Wilson says that the ten boys who made up the 13-14 year-old baseball team will be recognized during a ceremony during the break between the first and second quarters. The boys' names...and the coach's names...will be read over the loudspeaker, and there will be a description of the team's tournament run. Also, it will be Parent's Night at the game. All parents of Escanaba players can come to the back gate by the Igloo, and they will get into the game free of charge. They need to be by the Varsity Locker room no later then 7:00. The player/parent introductions will start at 7:10, and kick-off is scheduled for 7:30. Escanaba (4-4) can earn a share of the Great Northern Conference championship, and stay alive for a state playoff spot, with a win over the 7-1 Flivvers. |
