Gladstone Rolls Past Big Bay In Final Meeting 97-37
![]() GLADSTONE---The Gladstone High School basketball team narrowly missed the 100-point mark for the second time this season Monday night, but the Braves picked up another blowout victory over a Class D team. The Braves jumped to a 27-5 lead in the first quarter and rolled to a 97-37 win over the Big Bay deNoc Black Bears. Earlier this season, Gladstone beat Mid Peninsula, 97-37. ![]() The Braves improved to 8-2 on the season. Big Bay (1-11) got 12 points from Robbie Ray and nine points from Mason Yonker. In the earlier game, the Gladstone freshmen beat the Big Bay JV Bears, 60-50. This was the final meeting between the two Delta County rivals, as the Braves begin playing in both the Mid Pen and Great Northern Conferences next season. Gladstone faces Rapid River, another Class D team, Tuesday night in Rapid River. This is a make-up game from earlier this season when Delta County was hit by a snowstorm.
