Eichhorn Helps C-N Wolves Roll Past Black Bears
![]() GARDEN CORNERS---Hunter Eichhorn scored 25 points and the Carney-Nadeau Wolves topped the Big Bay deNoc Black Bears, 64-42, Thursday in Garden Corners. Eichhorn nailed six three-pointers in the game, including three in the first quarter when the Wolves raced to an 18-8 lead at the end of the first eight minutes. ![]() Eichhorn wasn't the only one to hit from downtown for the Wolves, however, as fellow senior Mason Linder also knocked down three three-pointers in the first half. Big Bay senior Tyler Johnson tried to keep his team in it, scoring 21 points, along with his twin brother Erik, who scored 13 points. Tyler Johnson played the entire fourth quarter with a dislocated finger after he injured it on a play with eleven seconds left in the third quarter. Johnson simply popped the finger back in place and re-entered the line-up. Carney rebounded from its blowout loss to North Central to improve to 4-1 on the season heading into the holiday break. Big Bay deNoc fell to 0-4. MARINETTE 79, MENOMINEE 76---The Marines win on their home court in the annual M&M game. Levi Kempka scored 30 points in a losing effort for Menominee. NEWBERRY GIRLS 72, MANISTIQUE 25---Taylor Bryant scored 32 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and had nine assists and seven steals for Newberry.
