BACK ON TRACK: Braves Bounce Ishpeming 69-48
![]() GLADSTONE---The Gladstone Braves jumped to an 11-point lead early in the game and never looked back, beating the Ishpeming Hematites, 69-48, Tuesday night in Gladstone. The Braves bounced back after last Friday's tough loss in Menominee. Ishpeming's Hart Holmgren did his best to keep his team in the game, scoring 14 of the Hematites' first 20 points of the contest. That kept Ishpeming within 29-20 at halftime, but the Braves blew the roof off the gymwith a 33-point third quarter to lead, 62-33. ![]() One fun moment for Gladstone, however, came in the fourth quarter as Sean Holm (pictured) scored a basket...his first varsity bucket as a member of the Braves. Holmgren had 22 points to lead Ishpeming, which lost to Gladstone for the second time this season. The junior varsity game went to the Hematites, however, 61-56. Gladstone returns to action next Monday night, at home against Big Bay deNoc, and on the following day, with a make-up game in Rapid River.
