KINGSFORD---The Division One All-U.P. Boys Tennis team was announced on Tuesday, and the Kingsford Flivvers were well-represented.

Kingsford was undefeated all spring, winning the D-1 Upper Peninsula championship last week. The Flivvers also won the Great Northern Conference championship meet, and took first in the Kingsford Invitational, Negaunee Tourney, and the Yooper Classic.

Senior Adam Szabo did not lose a set all season long, and was chosen as the U.P. Player of the Year. Teammate Brady Hicks was also a first team selection, as was the doubles team of Joe Gregory and Dan Harrington. And Mark Shanks was Coach of the Year.

Gladstone's Spencer Pederson got First-Team honors, as did the Braves' doubles team of seniors Tyler Wells and Jeremy Kadish. Escanaba senior Jordan Lombardo was also selected to the All-UP team at singles by the U.P.'s tennis coaches.

In Division Two, Micah Heath of Gwinn was the U.P. Player of the Year, and Iron Mountain Coach Greg Stegall was the D-2 Coach of the Year.
