Gladstone High School left fielder Owen Hanson has been named to the Division Three All-Region team by the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association. Hanson batted .377 this season (20 for 53) with 11 runs batted in and 18 stolen bases. Defensively, he did not make an error all season, getting 34 putouts and seven assists for a 100% fielding percentage. Hanson is now eligible for All-State consideration.
Two Escanaba High School baseball players were named to the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association's Division Two All-District Team.
First baseman Brandon Punzel, shortstop Hunter LaMarch (pictured) are now eligible for All-Region consideration. Also, three Eskymos made the All-Academic Team: Justin Popelka (3.96 GPA), LaMarch (3.80 GPA), and CJ Barron (3.76 GPA).
