ESCANABA---The Bay College Norse basketball teams will open their seasons Friday evening with the Terrace Bay Classic at the Bay College Gym. The Norse women will take on a new opponent, Lorain Community College out of Ohio, at 6:00, and then the men will battle Minnesota North-Hibbing at 8:00.
Both Bay teams, which were nationally-ranked last season, are not ranked at all heading into 2025-26. The Norse have almost all-new rosters, filled from incoming freshman, with only three returning sophomores on each squad.

WGMV-FM Maverick 106.3 will again be the flagship station for every Norse basketball game, men and women, home and away, for a ninth straight season, which goes back to the very beginning of the modern Bay athletic program. The games are also streamed live on the Maverick 106.3 mobile app, and at www.radioresultsnetwork.com.
Away games are streamed based on the host school's video setup, without Norse commentary, but will be on FM-106.3 locally just the same.
Select Bay College baseball and softball games will also be broadcast on the radio and on-line next spring, on WCHT-FM 93.5 and AM-600 in Escanaba serving as the flagship station, and WMIQ-AM 1450 serving Bay's Iron Mountain campus with coverage.
