The Norse fell behind early and never tied or grabbed the lead in the game. ![]() Bay played without two players who were ineligible for the game, and then had to play without Alaina Trudeau after she hurt her knee in the second quarter.
Bay trailed the Red Hawks, 21-8, after one quarter, falling behind by double digits for the second straight game. But unlike Friday's game against Palm Beach State, the Norse were not able to rally and make it a game.
The Norse trailed, 29-16, at halftime, and 43-27 after three quarters.
Alyssa Cretton led the Norse with 14 points. Stephanie Frappy added nine points and Emma Rutter chipped in with eight points.
The Red Hawks improved to 2-4 on the season. They were led by Keziah Soogrim's 17 points. Center Nijah Cunningham finished with 14 points and Rylie Hogg scored ten.
Bay College fell to 4-9 on the season. The Norse come back from Florida Sunday night, and will be back in action on Wednesday in Ironwood against Gogebic Community College. GCC won the other two matchups earlier this season. ![]() |
