FOUR MORE WINS: Escanaba Girls Win In Alpena
 ALPENA---It was another successful weekend for the Escanaba softball Eskymos. The Eskymos won three games on Saturday to take the championship of the Alpena Invitational, beating the host Wildcats, 1-0, in the title game on a sometimes rainy day. The weekend began with a 10-2 win over Alpena Friday night, as Taylor Gauthier launched a three-run homer. That was a warm-up for the Saturday tournament, and the Eskymos sat through a rain delay before beating Grayling, 4-0, in their first contest. In the second game, Katie Ross hit two home runs, including a grand slam homer in the sixth inning, to help the Eskymos mercy Garden City from the Detroit area, 12-2. And in the championship game, Escanaba beat Alpena on a suicide squeeze by Taylor Rathe. Escanaba, ranked No. 5 in the state in Division Two, improved to 19-1-1 on the season.
