The Gladstone Major Girls (age 11-12) lost a heartbreaker to Freeland, 1-0, Wednesday in the state championship game in Boyne City. Falcon pitcher Cat Talaga outdueled Gladstone's Brittany Schwartz in the circle, sending Freeland to the Central Regional.
