The Escanaba Polecats Mikey D’s Beer Cave baseball team won the Superiorland Baseball championship Monday night over the the top-seeded Channing Railsplitters, 6-0, in northern Dickinson County. Bark River-Harris graduate and Bay College alum Jack Bower threw a complete game. Escanaba graduate and former Norse Jake LaFave had three hits at the plate. Escanaba earned the right to play against Copper Country Twilight League champion Stanton Building Supply in the U.P. championship game, which will be played next month.
