Local High School Softball Teams Highly-Ranked

The Gladstone Braves, Escanaba Eskymos, and Rapid River Rockets are all ranked in the Top Ten the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association's pre-season poll.

The defending state champion Braves are ranked No. 1 in Division Three. The Eskymos are ranked fourth in Division Three, and the Rockets are fifth in Division Four.
 
The high school softball season begins this weekend with the two-day tournament at Northern Michigan University's Superior Dome.
