  • Three NMU Swimmers Make All-Academic Team
    William LaCount, Leo Nolles, and Tobie Stiles of the NMU swim and Dive team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second and Third Teams, respectively, announced on Wednesday. This marks LaCount's second instance of second team honors, as he earned the same distinction last season, and the first Academic All-America distincion for both Nolles and Stiles, both landing on the third team.
  • Lake Superior State Cuts Golf, Tennis Programs

    Lake Superior State University (LSSU) has announced that it will discontinue sponsorship of its men’s and women's golf and men's and women's tennis programs effective June 30, 2025. “Our goal is to provide the best student-athlete experience possible, and we are better positioned to achieve our objectives when we concentrate our finite resources on fewer programs,” said LSSU Director of Athletics Tory Lindley. “These changes also reflect the realities of the transformational shifts impacting college athletics on a national scale."
