Esky Juniors, Seniors Battle In Homecoming Event
![]() Click the thumbnails for photos and videos ESCANABA---Escanaba High School's Homecoming Week continued Wednesday night with the annual Powderpuff Football Game in Ludington Park, with the girls taking part in a competitive game and the guys serving as coaches. In the end, the Seniors beat the Juniors, 16-14, with Kiera Maki, better known for her basketball skills, scoring the winning touchdown from the quarterback position. The Juniors appeared to take the lead late in the game when Katey Lamb threw a long pass up the middle that bounced off several hands and went right to McKenzie Engenretson for an improbable touchdown. But the referees called an offensive pass interference penalty, and that highlight play was nulified. Still, we have posted it as one of the VIDEOS up above. The Eskymo varsity football team hosts the Marquette Redmen in the Homecoming Game Friday night at 7:00. ![]() |
