Bark River-Harris Starts Fast; Cruises Past Republic

HARRIS----The Bark River-Harris Broncos raced to an 18-2 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 51-41 win over the Republic-Michigamme Hawks Monday in Harris. The Broncos also led, 30-14, at halftime, and also 43-24 after three quarters. The Hawks outscored the BR-H bench, 17-8, in the fourth quarter to make the score closer. BR-H was led by freshman Cody VanBrocklin, who had 20 points. Kyle Kleiman added 13 points and nine rebounds, and John Norman had nine points and nine boards. The Broncos improved to 2-4 on the season with the Skyline Conference victory. David Simula had 18 points and Marcus Antilla added ten for the Hawks (2-3).
