Due to the forecasted inclement weather on Wednesday, Bay College and Kirtland Community College have decided to move their MCCAA Northern Conference basketball games to Thursday evening. Bay College will also host the Gladstone Braves and Iron Mountain Mountaineers in a high school varsity girl's basketball game. so it will be a tripleheader of action at the Bay College Gym.
The Norse women will square off with the Firebirds at 4:30 pm ET, an hour earlier than their normal start time. The Norse men will look to avenge a loss from earlier this year at approximately 6:30 pm ET. Finally, the Braves and Mountaineers will round out the action with a varsity-only matchup tipping off at 8 pm ET.
That Braves-Mountaineers girls game was moved because the Gladstone High School Gym is now needed for the MHSAA Division Three wrestling regional tournament, which was scheduled for Wednesday but has now been also moved to Thursday night. In the wrestling tournament, the Gladstone Braves will face the Negaunee Miners at 5:00 ET, with tournament favorite West Branch Ogemaw Heights battling Kingsley on the oher mat at the same time. The championship match will start at about 6:15 pm.
The Bay College games will be broadcast on Maverick 106.3 and livestreamed at the Bay College Norse Hudl website, with the radio call connected to the livestream. Links to the radio call can be found at rrnsports.com, while links to both the audio and video streams will be on www.baynorse.com.
The Gladstone vs. Iron Mountain game will also be streamed on Bay College's Hudl page. That game will not be broadcast locally on the radio due to the Northern Michigan vs Michigan Tech men's and women's basketball games, both of which will air on FM-93.5 and AM-600.
