IRON MOUNTAIN---The Marquette High School boys soccer team traveled to Iron Mountain for the season opener Tuesday night, and got the mercy rule win at the 6 minute mark of the second half with a 10-2 score. Charle Hrodey had three goals and one assist, while Seth Sandstrom, Cody Struck, and Kaleb Chipelewski all had two goals in the win.
“It was a good game for us considering we only had two practices so far," Marquetre Coach Dan Salmon said. "Dixon Poggi had a big influence on the game even though he didn’t make the stat sheet. Hrodey was not going to be denied when got his foot on the ball.”
