IRON MOUNTAIN---Mariah Yonker has her first win at the helm of Gladstone volleyball.
After managing a tie against Marquette but losing three other matches last weekend at a tournament in Sault Ste. Marie, Yonker's Braves pulled out a dual meet victory Tuesday night in Iron Mounatin, 3-1. The scores were 25-15, 17-25, 25-18, 25-18.
Afterward, Yonker took to Facebook:
"I cannot express my feelings right now! So thankful to be given this opportunity and even more grateful to have been given these girls to work with. I couldn't ask for a better group. This is going to be a season to watch for sure!"
Gladstone's next match is scheduled for next Tuesday (Aug. 29) at Gwinn.
