ESCANABA---The Norway 9-10 boys rallied from an 11-3 deficit to take a one-run lead in the sixth inning, but Iron Mountain scored twice in the bottom of the inning to win the Little League Yooper Tournament Championship, 13-12, at Dickson Field in Escanaba.
Aiden Ellis smoked one to the left field fence to tie the game with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, then Ian Marttila won it with a shot to center field, setting off a wild celebration.
Both boys also had RBI hits in a nine-run Iron Mountain first inning.
Norway's Landon Amundson had put his team in front with a dramatic two-out, two-run base rip that capped a six-run sixth inning rally.
The tournament serves as a tune-up for the All-Star district tournaments in mid-July.
