TRAVERSE CITY----Never say die.
That was the attitude for the Gladstone High School softball team on Friday as they trailed a tough team on the road late in the game. Traverse City St. Francis carried a 3-0 lead into the seventh inning before the Braves mounted a four-run rally to post a 4-3 victory.
Tasi Martinez hit a three-run homer to cap that four-run rally, and the Braves got an excellent defensive play from Maddie Kowalski at second base in the bottom of the inning. Jenna Steinhoff (pictured above) earned the win in the circle for Gladstone.
The Braves will stay downstate to compete in a tournament on Saturday.
