WILSON---No doubt about it.
The Munising High School girls cross country team continued to dominate the "small schools" races in the Central U.P. on Wednesday, easily winning the CUP Conference championship at the Gorzinski Farm in Wilson.
Munising swept all five of the top spots to win the meet with a perfect score of 15.
Superior Central was second (64 points) and Big Bay deNoc was third (73). Carney-Nadeau finished fourth with 74 points, and the host North Central Jets were fifth with 81 points.
Individually, Marissa Immel led the way for Munising, easily winning the race in 22 minutes, 13 seconds
Munising girls also had the next four spots: Anna Baij (22:58), Alyssa St. Amour (23:51), Sara Charbeneau (24:00), and Julia Jacques (24:02).
Superior Central's Evie Walters (24:43) finished sixth, and Selma Walters was eighth, finishing in 25:42. Carney-Nadeau's Morgan DuPont took ninth place in 25:43, and Big Bay deNoc's Patience Harris was tenth, finishing the race in 26:29.
