The Rapid River Rockets won all three of their games, the Escanaba Eskymos went 2-1, and the Gladstone Braves went 1-1-1, with their only loss coming to the Rockets. And the Escanaba junior varsity team won all three of its games in the two-day event.

On Saturday, the Escanaba Eskymos topped the Negaunee Miners, 3-2, as Codi Jenshak's infield hit with the bases loaded won it. The Eskymos later lost to the Gladstone Braves, 5-1. The Braves, in turn, tied Sault Ste. Marie, 8-8, then later fell to Rapid River, 2-1. For the Rockets, their first Saturday game was an 8-2 win over Marquette as Averi Kanyuh homered and Neena Brockway won in the circle.
The Manistique Emeralds beat the Houghton Gremlins, 5-4, Saturday at the Dome. The Emeralds came from a 4-1 deficit, scoring three of their runs on suicide squeezes.
"Yeah, we played a little small ball," Emeralds Coach Dave McNeil said. "It was fun. We went 2-1 this weekend. Good start." Earlier in the day, Manistique lost to Rudyard, 16-2, after beating Newberry Friday.
