Mid Peninsula Retires Brett Branstrom's #21 Jersey

PERKINS---No boys basketball player will ever again wear the No. 21 jersey at the Mid Peninsula High School. The jersey that Brett Branstrom wore for five years...from eighth grade through graduation...was retired during a ceremony Monday night.

Branstrom is Mid Pen's all-time leader in points scored, rebounds, and many other categories. He is now a freshman at Northern Michigan University.

During his high school career, Branstrom scored 1,785 points, and that does not include the points that he scored as an eighth grader. In his senior season in 2012-13, Branstrom averaged 25 points and 21 rebounds. And he did it against opponent double-teams.
