Robinette, Kleiman Lead Eskymos Past Menominee

ESCANABA----Brandon Robinette scored 26 points and pulled down 12 boards Monday as the Escanaba Eskymos beat the Menominee Maroons, 59-45, in a Great Northern Conference contest in Escanaba.

Menominee led for most of the first half, with the biggest lead coming at 29-22.

But the Eskymos closed to within one point at halftime, and had a big third quarter, leading 48-39 entering the fourth quarter.

The Maroons were within four points at 49-45, but the visitors never scored again as James Brown and Tyler Howell fouled out.

Sophomore Adam Nolde led Menominee (2-3) with 16 points.

Escanaba got eight points each from Sam Molnar and Tyler Hardwick. The Eskymos also won the junior varsity game, 67-63, and the freshman game, 41-35.

Escanaba (6-2) travels to Westwood Tuesday night.
