Kingsford JV's Top Eskymos For Perfect 9-0 Season

ESCANABA---The Kingsford High School junior varsity football team wrapped up a perfect 9-0 season Thursday by topping the Escanaba Eskymos, 54-19, in Escanaba.

Brandon Kowalkowski scored on a 67-yard run and Sam Santi scored two touchdowns (one on a counter play, the other on a long screen pass) for the Flivvers.
Escanaba took the early 7-0 lead on a touchdown run by Hunter Viau, but the Flivvers scored two straight touchdowns to take the lead.
The Eskymos tied the game on a 12-yard touchdown run by Brandon Punzel, but the Flivvers came back with three more TD's.
Escanaba's final touchdown came on a run by Andrew Kolich in the fourth quarter.
The Eskymos were playing without starting quarterback Nick Bink, who was at home with the flu. Running back Dalton Deneau suffered a concussion during the second half.
While Kingsford finished 9-0, the Eskymo JV's ended their season with a 5-4 record.
