Flivvers Beat Eskymos To Take District Title, 68-51
 ESCANABA---The Kingsford High School boys basketball team captured an MHSAA Division Two district championship Friday night with a 68-51 win over the Escanaba Eskymos. The game was close most of the way before the Flivvers pulled away late. Nic Nora led the Flivvers with 20 points. Gavin Grondin added 16, Cardel Morton chipped in twelve points and Morgan Sleik also contributed a dozen points. The Flivvers (20-3) will face Boyne City in the regional semifinals Monday night in Sault Ste. Marie. The Eskymos finished their season with a 15-7 record.   |
