Eskymos Stay Undefeated With Win At Bark River

HARRIS---The Escanaba High School girls basketball team won for the 13th straight time Friday night, beating the Bark River-Harris Broncos, 65-36, in Bark River.

The top-ranked Eskymos led from wire to wire in the contest, jumping to leads of 7-0 and 18-4 as they beat the Broncos for the second time this season and improved their record to 13-0.

Keira Maki led the Eskymos with 24 points. Mari Bink added 16 points, and Grayson LaMarche chipped in with 13 points.

The Broncos got 13 points each from Lauren Zawada and Nina Bower.

Escanaba (13-0) has a week of prasctice ahead of the showdown against Calumet up in the Keweenaw next Friday night. The Copper Kings are 9-2 after they beat Gwinn on the road Friday night. Bark River-Harris (7-5) visits Rapid River Monday night.
