MENOMINEE---Travis Mack threw a complete-game two hitter as the Gladstone Indians American Legion Baseball team whipped the Menominee Red Wave, 10-1, Thursday night at Spies Field. The Indians won their second straight game after losing seven in a row.
Cam Kelly had a triple and two singles on the same field where he had a grand slam home run and two triples in a Gladstone win during the high school baseball season.

Gavin Frossard had a triple and a single for the Indians, and Casey Alworden added two base hits. Tyler Darmogray's two-run single in the seventh inning gave Gladstone a 10-1 lead. Kennison Boivin took the loss on the mound for Menominee, as the Red Wave made five errors on defense. He allowed five runs on five hits in three innings of work. Jesse Sampson tossed the final four innings and also gave up five runs. Mack was in complete control all night long, striking out six batters and walking only two. The only two hits for Menominee were by Wyatt Riley to lead off the first inning, and Blake Borths, who came off the bench to get a single in the fifth inning. Menominee lost one day after its most impressive win of the season, a 10-4 victory over Marinette in a rivalry game Wednesday night at Spies Field. They scored nine runs in the first two innings of that game, but now Menominee has only one run in its last 12 innings of baseball. The Red Wave slipped to 10-11-0 on the season, and they will finish the regular season on Sudnay afternoon against the Escanaba Cubs. That game is set to start at 2 ET/1 CT. The Indians improved to 9-11-1 on the season, and will wrap up the regular season next Tuesday night against the Marquette Blues at Don Olsen Field. ![]() |
