Hot Start Not Enough For Negaunee All-Stars, 18-3

GROSSE POINT WOODS--- Negaunee Major Little League All-Stars got off to a hot start on Monday, but St. Clair answered quickly and never looked back. The final score was 18-3, St. Clair was victorious over Negaunee. In the top of the first inning Maijah Speaker and Alyse Robar walked to put runners on for Olivia Richards. Speaker scored on a passed ball before Richards smacked a triple to center field scoring Robar. Richards scored on an Elvera Coyne ground ball. St. Clair scored five runs in the first and two in the second before exploding for eleven runs in the third to reach the final score of 18-3. Negaunee’s State Tournament comes to a close following the loss. Despite the tough loss, the team was proud to represent their community at the tournament. |
