The Cubs took a 2-0 lead in the second inning when McEvers drew a one-out walk and Nick Chiu followed with a pop fly double to center field. Jarrett Olsen drove in one run with a ground ball to second base, and Trent Turchin followed with an RBI single to put the Cubs up by two.
