Gladstone Jayvees Top Marquette To Stay Unbeaten
![]() GLADSTONE---Darin Johnson threw two touchdown passes and scored another touchdown on the ground as the Gladstone High School junior varsity football team beat the Marquette Redmen, 26-6, Thursday night at the Marble Field. Gladstone improved to 5-0 on the season. ![]() In the second quarter, he threw a touchdown pass to Jared DeMeuse to make it a 13-0 game at halftime. In the second half, Johnson threw a long TD pass to Kyle Darmogray (pictured), and later, Spencer Husbye scored on a five-yard touchdown run. On defense, Owen Hanson had an interception, while Christian Creten and Jared Crow each had quarterback sacks. Marquette scored its only touchdown on a long pass early in the fourth quarter. The Redmen also intercepted Johnson twice in the fourth quarter. Gladstone's JV Braves face Sault Ste. Marie next weekend.
