Rapid River Dominates 'Bridge Alliance' Selections

The Rapid River High School football team went undefeated in 2013, so naturally, the Rocket players did well in the Bridge Alliance All-Conference voting.

Senior quarterback Jake Pearson was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year.

Wide receiver Mike Casey made the First Team, and Casey was an honorable mention selection as punter.

Senior Mike Boyer made the First Team on both the offensive and defensive lines.

Ben Rubick was a first team selection on the defensive line. Senior Hayden Hardwick was a second-teamer on the offensive line, and was an honorable-mention kicker.

Pearson was not only the league's top quarterback, but he was also chosen as a First Team linebacker. Senior Pat Pryal was a second-team selection at defensive back, and Steve Johnson was an honorable mention linebacker.

Rapid River went a perfect 9-0 during the regular season, winning every game by at least 23 points. The Rockets play in the state semifinals this Saturday afternoon.
