NCA Jets Roll Past Broncos To Remain Undefeated

HARRIS---The North Central High School boys basketball team turned in another dominating performance Friday night, beating the arch-rival Bark River-Harris Broncos, 84-41, in Harris. Five Jets players scored in double figures.

The Jets led, 21-8, after the first quarter, and the lead grew to 47-22 at halftime as the North Central boys made almost everything they threw up. Both from the field, and from the free throw line.

NCA made 19 of 25 foul shots during the contest.

Travis Vincent returned from a recent ankle injury to score 15 points. Josh Granquist also added 15 points, along with suffocating defense. And freshman Jason Whitens chipped in 15 points as Coach Adam Mercier shuffledeight guys in the line-up.

Tyler Polfus got the start at point guard and shared those duties with Granquist throughout the game. Polfus had 12 points. The fifth Jet player to score in double figures was sophomore Caleb Martin, who also had 12 points.

Rob Granquist added seven points for NCA, which improved to 11-0 on the season. Bark River-Harris (7-4) was led by Branden Willa's 12 points. The Broncos have a make-up game Saturday afternoon at Republic.

North Central faces another arch-rival, Carney-Nadeau, on the road Tuesday night.
