ESCANABA---The Escanaba High School boys basketball team held off the Manistique Emeralds, 65-55, Monday night, on Senior Night at the Escanaba High School Gym. The Eskymos won their third straight game to improve to 7-11 on the season. Manistique's record fell to 5-11.
Escanaba had four players score in double figures, led by Braden Cooper's 16 points. Lenny Peacock added 15 points, Owen Fields chipped in 14 points, and Beau Racine contributed ten points.
Escanaba led, 31-26, at halftime, and built a 12-point lead in the third quarter before the Emeralds cut that lead to five points late in the game. But Cooper scored on three layups off of long passes from his teammates to put the game away.
Manistique was led by Alex Bonneau's 26 points. Connor Tennyson added 16 points for the Emeralds.

Manistique's next game is Wednesday night at home against Ishpeming.
