After swapping the lead and trading paint with Jason Zdroik for several laps, former track champion Jesse Aho of the U.P.'s Twin Lakes snuck past Zdroik for the lead on the final lap and went on to win the B Mod feature at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday night.

Zdroik wrestled the lead away from polesitter Mickey Nosser on the second circuit and Aho, who started sixth on the grid, rode the high line, wasting little time scrapping his way to the runnerup spot.

Aho and Zdroik brought the capacity crowd to its feet as the duo swapped the lead for the next several laps with Nosser and Dave Dishaw within striking distance the entire contest.

For Aho it was his second feature flag of the season after winning opening night. Zdroik settled for second place money, followed by Dishaw, Nosser, and Frank ‘The Tank’ Gasperini who posted his best finish of the season in fifth.

Zdroik got a bit of redemption later in the evening with his ERS late model feature win.

Ontanogon, Michigan’s Dishaw swept action in the street stocks, winning both his heat and the caution free feature in the division. Defending stock car champion ‘Hot Rod’ Snellenberger of Pulaski pulled off the same fete in the stock car class.

Minocqua’s Andy Fink scored his second straight 600 micro sprint feature win.

Boulder Junction’s Katherine Towne swept action in the semi-pro 300 micro sprints while Tomahawk’s Kaeden Bethel extended his point lead in the 300 pro micro class with a feature win.

Racing will resume Tuesday, June 22 with the first leg of the B Mod Triple Crown. A $1,000 top prize awaits the winner. The first green flag is set to fly at 730 p.m. Fans are encouraged to please check the track’s website Facebook page or you can email [email protected] or call (715) 891 1870.
