GLADSTONE---Gladstone High School graduate Bryce Douglas shot four rounds at or below par and captured the 2019 Upper Peninsula Golf Association men's championship at the Terrace Bluff Golf Course.
Douglas, a student at the University of Detroit, won the title by one stroke, shooting a four-under 284 for the tournament. He shot rounds of 72, 70, 70, and 72 over the course of the event to win by one stroke over Mark Clements of Ishpeming's Wawonowin Country Club.
Meanwhile, Gladstone's Terrace Bluff Course members won the 2019 Team Championship, making full use of the home course advantage. Terrace Bluff's Rudy Peterson and Matt Argall finished fourth and fifth overall, respecively.
