Eskymos Win Second Game At Wisconsin Tourney

WAUKESHA, Wis.---The Escanaba High School hockey team posted its second straight win at a tournament in suburban Milwaukee on Tuesday, beating St. Mary Springs Academy out of Fond duLac, 2-0. The victory moved the Eskymos into the championship game of the six-team Puck Jam Holiday Tournament on Wednesday.

Junior goaltender Brodie Goddard stopped all 19 shots he faced to earn the shutout.

The Eskymos (4-6-0) broke the scoreless tie when Garth Wickham scored an unassisted goal at the 12:12 mark of the second period. Then, one minute into the third period, Chris LeMire scored to make it a 2-0 game. Wickham assisted on that goal.

St. Mary Spring goaltender Collin Ahern stopped 29 of the 31 shots he faced.
