SOUTH BEND, Ind.---The Escanaba Senior Girls (age 15-16) Little League softball team took part in Opening Ceremonies Thursday night in South Bend, Ind.
The girls will open Central Regional Tournament Play on Friday morning against DesMoines Grandview LL, Iowa.
This is a six-team tournament, down from the original eight, as two teams dropped out. It is now a double-elimination bracket format, with the tournament ending on Sunday with the championship. The winner advances to the Senior Softball World Series.
All of Escanaba's games will be broadcast live on WCHT-AM (600), with weekend morning games airing on WGKL-FM (102.5). Also on-line at www.rrnsports.com.
