Gladstone Volleyball Team Loses Make-Up Match

STEPHENSON---The Gladstone High School girls volleyball team dropped all three games during their match Monday night in Stephenson.

The Eagles beat the Braves, 3-0, by scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-17.

"We had a slow start in all three sets," Gladstone Coach Liz Gendron said.  "We had some nice come backs but couldnt get a rally going. Way too many hitting errors."

"We are giving away more points, and not making them earn much at all."

This was a make-up match from last Thursday night, when high winds caused power outages in Stephenson.

"We still need to get our offense in gear," Gendron said. "I'm sure that in each week, e will improve greatly. Maddie Bailey did an excellent job serving, and at the net."

"Emily Dykowski, our other 'middle' did very well also. And our right-side hitter, a sophomore, Jenna Steinhoff, hit and served well for us."

Gladstone's junior varsity and freshmen teams both beat Stephenson, 2-0, Monday.
