Gladstone Will Co-Op With Escanaba In Swimming

GLADSTONE---The Gladstone Braves and Escanaba Eskymos will join forces to offer a co-op boys and girls swimming program this winter. Gladstone started its program last year, and has agreed to let the Escanaba kids join the team.

Escanaba Athletic Director Dave Wilson says there are 25 boys and girls in his school who have expressed interest in joining.

Gladstone Superintendent Jay Kulbertis says the team will continue to operate as a "club" program before possibly becoming an MHSAA program in the 2014-'15 school year.

There will be a meeting for the Escanaba kids and parents Wednesday night at 8:00 in the Escanaba High School Library.
