HANNAHVILLE----The Big Bay deNoc Black Bears and Hannahville Soaring Eagles hooked up in a volleyball match-up Thursday between two of the smallest schools in the Upper Peninsula. The match went back-and-forth all night before Big Bay won, 3-1.
Hannahville won the first game, 25-22, but Big Bay tied the match by dominating the second game from start-to-finish, 25-17.
The Soaring Eagles took an 11-6 lead in the third game, but could not hang on, as the Black Bears rallied to win, 25=19.
Big Bay then won the fourth game, 25-19, to take the match.
