Escanaba's Cousineau Plays Drums At Orange Bowl
MIAMI---While we froze under subzero temperatures here in the Upper Peninsula, Escanaba High School junior Eric Cousineau was in South Florida, attending the Orange Bowl football game between Clemson University and the Ohio State University. But Cousineau wasn't there as a spectator. He was part of an All-Star Invitational Marching Band with kids from around the country, and he actually performed on the Sun Life Stadium turf. That committee liked what it saw (and heard), informing Cousineau in early October that he would be headed to Miami. Cousineau and his family, all University of Michigan football fans, got a treat as they were able to watch hated rival Ohio State get stunned, 40-35, by the underdog Clemson Tigers in the Jan. 3 game. And yes, under beautiful 75-degree skies.
