KINGSFORD---
The Kingsford Flivvers hosted the Gladstone Braves and the Manistique Emeralds on Tuesday night.

The Braves had very strong swimmers on both the boys andgirls sides and the Emeralds are a young team with some upcoming talent, but both sides were lacking on depth.

Fortunately for the Flivver boys, they were able to take advantage of this and managed to out-point the Braves' first place finishes by taking many second and third place finishes.

It was the Flivvers first and second place finishes in the 100 Butterfly put them in the lead by eight points and they continued to grow their lead with some solid finishes in the remaining events.

The lady Braves swimmers have been swimming YMCA for many years and their talent came through Tuesday night.  The Emerald and Flivver girls had some great swims as well.

There were several high finishers and time improvements, but they just could not muster enough points to overtake the Braves. I am very excited to see how well our swimmers have been improving each meet. There are many swimmers who achieved personal bests.

When you see swimmers like Tanner Walsh and Matt Johnson dropping over 20 seconds in one race, you know these swimmers are working hard at practice and that they are bringing it to the meets.
