Broncos Fall As Newberry Pulls Off Goal Line Stand
HARRIS---The Bark River-Harris Broncos were one yard away from a potential victory Friday night, but couldn't get across the goal line at the end and the Newberry Indians pulled out a 12-8 win in Harris. The Broncos had three cracks at the end zone from the one yard-line in the final 35 seconds of the game, but the Indians made the defensive plays. BR-H's only touchdown came on a 15-yard pass from Jorden Sodergren to Hunter Messersmith with 7:40 left in the fourth quarter. Brian Latta ran in the two-point play. The Broncos fell to 0-3 on the season with the non-conference loss. Bark River-Harris travels to Gwinn next Friday night for another non-league game. |
