Eskymos Dominate Kingsford; Rebound From Downstate Losses

The Escanaba High School hockey team scored five goals in the first period and cruised to a 7-1 win over the Kingsford Flivvers Tuesday night at the Mountain View Ice Arena. The Eskymos wanted to rebound from last Saturday's 8-0 loss to defending state champion Flint Powers, as well as from a gut-wrenching down-to-the-wire loss to the third ranked Hartland Eagles. 14th-Ranked NMU Ladies Suffer Home Loss To No. 22 Ferris State

After battling to gain traction throughout the game, the NMU Wildcats women's basketball team fell to the Ferris State Bulldogs 70-52, Monday night, at Vandament Arena.
