Nordics Top Rockets In Tight Skyline Battle, 40-38
 RAPID RIVER---In a game that was close the whole way through, the North Dickinson Nordics escaped with a 40-38 win over the Rapid River Rockets in a Skyline Conference game Monday night in Rapid River. It was a make-up game from an earlier snow-out. The Rockets controlled most of the first half, as Jake Pearson attacked the basket on numerous occassions. He had three "old-fashioned" three-point plays in the first quarter alone as Rapid River led, 10-4 and 15-9 during that first quarter.

North Dickinson led, 22-21, at halftime, and the game went down to the wire. The Rockets had trouble at the foul line in the final minute, and lost for the 13th time in 14 games. Pearson ended up with 17 points to lead the Rockets. North Dickinson's record improved to 5-8. Rapid River (1-13) has another make-up game against Munising Tuesday night.
