The NMU Men's Golf team continued their season at the Findlay Spring Invite at the University Club of Kentucky on Monday and Tuesday.

The men played 54 holes throughout the invite. 

Round One

The team was off to a strong start on Monday. James Callahan led the 'Cats shooting a 74. He finished the round in T42. Next on the leaderboard for the team was Walter Ylitalo. He was three strokes behind Callahan with a 77. Caden Dunn rounded out the Top-3 for the team with an 80 on the round. Carter Mason and Eric Yun both respectively shot an 81. 

The team finished the round in 19th place, with a collective score of 312.

Round Two

Round two started on Monday, but play was suspended due to darkness. The round continued on Tuesday morning. Walter Ylitalo was first on the leaderboard for the 'Cats. He came in -1 under par (71) and placed T52. Eric Yun followed, shooting a 75 on the round. Caden Dunn was one stroke behind with a 76. Yun and Dunn were sitting in T89 through round two. James Callahan and Carter Mason were tied in the round, both grabbing a 77. 

The team wrapped up round two in 19th place, with a total score of 611.

Round Three

Round three was underway right after the conclusion of round two on Tuesday. Carter Mason led the team in this round with a 76. One stroke behind him was Caden Dunn with a 77. Eric Yun and Walter Ylitalo both shot 79 in the final round, and James Callahan found himself a score of 82.

The team collectively scored 311 and earned 19th place in the concluding round. 

Final Scores

The team finished the tournament in 19th place with an overall score of 922.
 

Walter Ylitalo led the team finishing in T72 shooting a 227. Next on the leaderboard were Caden Dunn and James Callahan. They both placed T89 and shot 233 throughout the Invite. Carter Mason and Eric Yun respectively scored 234 and 235.

The team will head to Ohio and compete in the Walsh Cavalier Classic Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
