Broncos Outlast Wolverines In Marathon 3-2 Match
 HARRIS----When Sarah Madalinski (pictured above) led the Bark River-Harris Broncos to a 7-0 lead in the first set of the Broncos' match against Mid Peninsula Monday night, it looked like it would be an easy night for the girls in dark blue. And after BR-H won the first two sets, 25-15 and 25-18, it still looked like the girls would barely break a sweat.

Then came an exciting fourth set, which Mid Peninsula pulled out, 29-27. BR-H managed to win the fifth set, 15-13, to take the match, 3-2. The Madalinski girls (Sarah and Aleesa) led the way, while Megan Derusha's play at the net led to several kills that the Mid Pen girls couldn't handle. Krysta VanDamme had a strong night for Mid Pen. Bark River-Harris is back on its home court Tuesday night, hosting a triangular meet with Carney-Nadeau and North Central. BIG BAY DE NOC 3, HANNAHVILLE 2---In Garden Corners Monday night, another volleyball match went the distance as the Big Bay deNoc Black Bears edged the Hannahville Soaring Eagles, 3-2. The Eagles, just as they did in a 3-1 loss to the Black Bears earlier this season, won the first set....25-20. Big Bay won the next two sets, 25-10 and 25-19, before Hannahville rebounded to win the fouth set, 25-23. The Black Bears won the match by taking a close fifth set, 15-13.
