MARQUETTE---The Northern Michigan recreational sports department will hold a Wildcat Kids and Tween Camp open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Berry Event Center's Wildcat Room. The open house will give parents the opportunity to meet the camp staff, tour the sports complex, complete the online registration process if needed and ask any questions they might have. Light refreshments will be served.
The Wildcat Kids Camp is a traditional summer camp for children five years of age through fifth grade. Each week is packed with games, crafts, swimming, skating, climbing, special events and outdoor adventures.
The cost of Kids Camp is $145 for the five-day week from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and $35 daily. Wildcat Tween Camp will give sixth to eighth graders the chance to learn valuable life skills, make new friends, develop character and discover new interests.
Activities at camp include swimming, games, crafts, outdoor adventures, climbing wall, ice skating, kayaking in the pool, team building initiatives and more.
Both camps begin Monday, June 13 and run through Thursday, August 18. Pre-registration is required online at www.nmu.edu/recreation.
